Common questions about SwissSys pricing, upgrades, and compatibility

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer upgrade discounts for owners of previous SwissSys versions. Each SwissSys license is a one-time purchase that includes free updates for that major version line. SwissSys v11 represents a significant modernization with new features, improved stability, and ongoing support that reflects its value as a new product.

Bulk purchases and site licenses: We do offer special pricing for organizations purchasing multiple licenses or site-wide deployments. Please contact us at to discuss your needs and receive a custom quote.

Important: Full support for the USCF MURI (Member and Unified Rating Information) system requires SwissSys v11.76 or later. Earlier versions may experience issues with online player lookups and database updates due to changes in how USCF provides member data.

If you are using an older version of SwissSys v11, we strongly recommend updating to the latest version to ensure reliable access to USCF player data and ratings. Updates within the v11 line are free for all licensed users.

The SwissSys v10 product line was officially retired in 2022. Since then, v10 has not received library updates, security patches, or compatibility fixes. We strongly discourage continued use of v10 for tournament operations.

Good news for v10 users: SwissSys v11 can open and work with v10 tournament files, so your existing data is fully compatible. If there are specific features from v10 that you would like to see in v11, please contact us at to request an enhancement.

SwissSys is Windows software and requires a Windows environment to run. It is not natively compatible with macOS, Linux, or ChromeOS (Chromebooks).

Mac users: Some users have success running SwissSys using Parallels Desktop or similar virtualization software. However, this configuration does not work reliably for everyone. We strongly recommend testing with the free trial version before purchasing a license to ensure it works on your specific setup.

Other operating systems: Linux and ChromeOS users would need a Windows emulator or virtual machine to run SwissSys. We cannot provide support for these configurations.
