Overview
The Rockville Chess Club (RCC) is hosting a Rapid 4SS Tournament, which is a United States Chess Federation (USCF) rated event. The tournament will follow a four-round Swiss system format, ensuring all players participate in each round regardless of their performance in previous games.
USCF Membership Required: Must have USCF membership active.
Location: 36C Maryland Ave, Rockville, MD, 20850
Time Control: Each game will be played with a time control of Game in 10 minutes, with a 3-second delay (G/10;d3).
Entry Fees: • Club Nonmembers: $20 • RCC Members: $15 (Must bring membership card as proof)

Byes: Players may request up to two half-point byes. All byes must be committed to before the start of the first round.

Participant Limit: The total number of registrations is limited to 50 participants.
Equipment: All necessary chess sets, boards, and clocks will be provided for participants.
Parking: Free parking is available for the first two hours in Parking A and B, located next to the club.
Electronic Device Policy:
• Possession of electronic devices that is turned on or makes a noise: This will result in forfeiture of the game.
• Players that are found with Possession of electronic devices that is turned off:
• First violation: 2-minute time penalty, not exceeding half of the remaining time on the clock for the current time control.
• Second violation: Forfeiture of the game.
